o3
In July, 2007, I started O3 Consulting to provide Internet consulting and website development. As of the end of 2024, I am retired except for supporting several not-for-profit websites. Read more at O3.consulting.
other work
From June, 2000 to July, 2007, I worked at Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. Web Services, where I served as an Applications Administrator and Web Architect for one year each and as Manager for five years. While there, I created web applications and was an advocate for usability, information architecture and security.
Before LRS, I worked at St. John’s Hospital, where I helped to create the first hospital intranet, including a change request system and many small intranet applications. Before that, I supported a conventional loan origination division for a nationwide mortgage banking company, creating an award-winning collateral control system, a bar-coded label system and participated in several multi-division technology projects. And before that I worked for a nationwide life insurance company, where I supported agents’ contract file and commission payments and wrote an EDI for mutual funds.
A long, long time ago, I served an Applied Study Term in Lee Bertinoli’s basement, where I (mostly) blissfully ported games from System V to BSD Unix for AthenaNet. I’ve been in the business world since 1977, running two home-based businesses before going back to school to earn a bachelor’s degree.
